A free-spirited Saguenéen, Clement Jacques released his debut, the English-language album Consumed & Guilty, in 2009, immediately establishing the parameters of what would be an unusual journey. Uninterested in following strict musical conventions, he nevertheless created a lot of buzz on radio airwaves. He went on to release a second LP, the French-language Le Maréographe (2011), which featured heartfelt, catchy folk songs with a touch of pop rock. 

While he has always been inspired by his travels and his search for true love, he took on a different direction on his third record, which was released in the spring of 2014. Featuring powerful guitar riffs and heavy drums, Indien is a collection of grunge songs that came along after a breakup.  

This led him to Europe in 2015 for a tour of France and Germany. He also presented his concert across Quebec. A prolific songwriter, he quickly released a fourth opus around that time, Chromatique, a concept album in which each track is associated to a colour, which enables the exploration of vast soundscapes. 

2025 will mark a major comeback for Clement Jacques. After a hiatus of several years, the singer-songwriter is ready to use “his” words again to sing about his everyday life, his travels, his existential queries, and naturally, love. He is about to release new music in French, including a lead single in the fall of 2024, “Gagner ma cause.” With this folk-pop song, we’re sure he will win over an audience that will get reacquainted with him or discover him for the first time, then remain fans for life!
